SK Photography: the story

Shortly before Christmas my wife received a camera.
She has now taken it upon herself to embark on an
incredible task of taking one picture everyday for a year.
This is an exciting photo journal that expresses "life, love, and beauty!"
So if you want to catch some remarkable pictures check our SK Photography.

Check out this video!

I love this video because it reminds me
of how easily I can get so focused on things,
and miss out on exciting that God is trying to show me,
such as moon walking bears!!!
Challenge: don't get too busy that you miss out on
what God is trying to teach you or tell you!

For the next five weeks N.C. Youth will be embarking on a journey called Outflow!

We will explore Acts 1:6-11 to see how we can fulfill this command that Jesus gives.  The purpose of this is for us to think outside ourselves, because all to often we can get so inward focused and so zoomed in on the little things in life that we miss out on how God wants to move in our lives by being his witness to others.  It's outward focused living in a self-focused world.  Here's what the next five weeks will consist of.

If you want to keep up with whats going on join our Facebook group!

They grow up so fast

Watching your babies grow up can be sad at times...

and other times it can be really exciting!!!

Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD,
the fruit of the womb a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior
are the children of one’s youth.
Blessed is the man
who fills his quiver with them!
He shall not be put to shame
when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.

Psalm 127:3-5

Luther's holistic understanding of calling

"God, with all his angels and creatures, is smiling, not because that father is washing diapers, but because he is doing so in Christian faith. Those who sneer at him and see only the task but not the faith are ridiculing God with all his creatures, as the biggest fool on earth. Indeed, they are only ridiculing themselves; with all their cleverness they are nothing but devil's fools."

where wealth is the appearance of opulence."

"The trouble is that, as modern people,
we have too much to live with and too little to live for."
