Snake Find

The other day I was doing some intense yard work. Our home that we purchased a little over a year ago apparently had owners who didn't take good care of the land. For some reason or another they planted random plants, trees, and flowers in odd spots all around the yard, so I was trying to fix this crazy confusion. In the process of destroying...I mean up rooting a pompous grass I found a little creature....

that's right our first snake....

well what was left of him.

I was digging up dirt around the pompous grass and several times during the process I came across several earth worms. I immediately scooped them up and place them in my garden for good plant growth. However, this little guy wasn't what I expected to find. For all you animal right activist and snake lovers out there, this was an accident I was digging and chopped the poor guy in half. Personally I'm glad he is gone cause I don't want these little creature around my girls. Hope everyone is having a great day

Wise Heart

Proverbs 23:15
"My son, if your heat is wise, my heart too will be glad."

We find in Proverbs a father talking to a son. He encourages his son to have a "wise" heart, and in doing so the father will be glad. I was thinking about how this verse applies to our relationship with God, our Father. When our hearts are turned toward His wisdom he is glad. Let us strive today to have wise hearts that "seek first the kingdom of God."

Eating with my spoon!!!

I did the normal routine this morning of waking my daughter up and getting her ready for the day. We fixed breakfast and as we began to eat I noticed she didn’t want me to feed her but she wanted to feed herself. I don’t look at this as most people would as a step of independence, well maybe you could say that, but I look at is as a sign of maturity and growth. I hope you enjoy these pics. Daddy loves you Abigail!

Simple Things

My wife and I were talking last night about some friends of ours that are going through difficult times. I know we all have problems and issues in our lives, however despite these circumstances I have come to enjoy the simple things that God has brought into my life.

First I am thankful for my wife. She is the greatest woman in the world. My dearest friend, treasured helper, and wonderful companion. I love her so much and have learned so much from her that has truly impacted my life. Love you Sarah!

Second, I am thankful for my 3 beautiful girls that God has entrusted me with. Although they are under 17 months old, God has taught me many things through my children. Daddy loves you girls!

Finally, I am thankful for my books. This is our growing library at our home. Although I've only read less than one third of the books on the shelf, I am thankful that I have such a strong arsenal of reading material available.

Maybe this can encourage you to enjoy the simple blessings that God has given to you. Have a great day!
